Mark your calendars! Full scholarships are available for member librarians to attend this year’s annual Wisconsin Library Association (WLA) conference from November 1-4 at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa in Lake Geneva.

This year’s theme, “Rising to the Challenge” celebrates the strength, unity, and resilience of libraries and library workers who have persevered despite the tests of the past few years. Registration will open soon. The scholarship covers conference registration, transportation, 3 nights of lodging, and a meal per diem.

The conference will feature prestigious speakers, including New York Times bestselling author Jason Reynolds, Library Freedom Project Founder and Director Alison Macrina, former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton, and 2021-2022 Wisconsin and Milwaukee Poet Laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton.  Attendees will also:

  • Choose from approximately 70 breakout sessions

  • Enjoy special events, including the annual Awards & Honors reception

  • Take a tour of the Wisconsin School for the Deaf and the newly renovated Lake Geneva Public Library

  • Interact with a wide variety of exhibitors in the conference exhibit hall
