Jamie's Meeting 10-Nov-2020 (12:59 PM) Antigo Library: no music today? (01:00 PM) Antigo Library: :( (01:02 PM) Antigo Library: yes (01:08 PM) Antigo Library: what erica said. 48 hours is good (01:09 PM) Teresa: Ditto to Erica (01:09 PM) Demmer Library: Ditto the quicker check-in approval (01:10 PM) Demmer Library: And patrons still comment that they feel we're doing a good job of keeping us safe while providing service (01:12 PM) Antigo Library: if we know, they can wait to return them. (01:13 PM) Antigo Library: unfortunately, we don't know, so that's why there is quarantine (01:17 PM) Vicky: Could you share that flowchart/policy, please? (01:19 PM) Vicky: Thank you! (01:19 PM) Peggy O'Connell: Thanks Virginia. (01:19 PM) Teresa: Stephanie shared it (01:22 PM) Vicky: The schools have been closing when they run out of staff. (01:22 PM) Vicky: If we run out of staff, we will do the same. (01:22 PM) Vicky: If school closes completely, we will close. (01:22 PM) Demmer Library: Ditto Virginia/Rhinelander. (01:22 PM) Antigo Library: schools won't factor into it. the library board will make transitions based on staffing (01:23 PM) Antigo Library: ditto Virginia (01:24 PM) Demmer Library: Currently our school has zero cases. They've also decided to report cases even before they're confirmed by the health department. (01:25 PM) Peggy O'Connell: Minocqua is in line with Antigo and Rhinelander (01:26 PM) Sherry M: brb (01:26 PM) Rhinelander Library: That's really proactive. Good on them Erica (01:30 PM) Antigo Library: brain fatigue! (01:30 PM) Rhinelander Library: And election stress. (01:31 PM) Rhinelander Library: What Erica says. That goes here, too. (01:31 PM) Vicky: Staff likes not being open on Saturday! (01:32 PM) Antigo Library: I keep waiting for the "new normal" to be "normal", but it's just not. (01:33 PM) Teresa: that's for sure Dominic (01:34 PM) Rhinelander Library: Although the resilience is becoming almost fatalism. We have developed a warrior attitude. "Let's do this". (01:35 PM) Antigo Library: Staff seem to be doing well, but they are all suffering brain fatigue and just life that is a lot harder with the environment of covid (01:35 PM) Joshua Klingbeil: Has the prospect of a viable vaccination made headway into the consideraton of directors/administrors yet? The news is still so new that it almost feels like there's a big "oh wait, nevermind" just around the corner... I personally had put off even the idea of a vaccine being available for large scale testing until late next year so it just wasn't on my radar at all until yesterday - BAM !!! all over the news. (01:36 PM) Teresa: and as people start thinking about holidays or lack of holidays, that adds another layer of fatigue (01:36 PM) Demmer Library: Also, staff said out loud in staff meeting, "We'll do ANYTHING not be furloughed again." (01:38 PM) Antigo Library: Vaccine will go to others first, so really not on our radar. but the holiday things are getting a lot of discussion (01:38 PM) Demmer Library: Ditto Peggy. We have a weekly meeting and that is a HUGE change and benefit. (01:38 PM) Teresa: Is anybody thinking about What's going to happen if the mask mandate doesn't get renewed? (01:39 PM) Rhinelander Library: RDL as well, meetings. And the Weekend is needed. (01:39 PM) Antigo Library: i think holidays are even more stressful as people want to see family but are conflicted (01:39 PM) Demmer Library: Vaccine is simultaneously an astounding thought and still completely a fantasy. (01:41 PM) Antigo Library: i agree virginia (01:41 PM) Teresa: agree with vaccine not on radar (01:45 PM) Demmer Library: I do want to circle back to your question Teresa. Our staff brought up the possible end to the mask mandate this morning. (01:45 PM) Jamie Matczak: We will circle back to Teresa's question (01:47 PM) Rhinelander Library: Its policy. As long as there is a pandemic, RDL can require a mask. (01:47 PM) Demmer Library: November 21 (01:48 PM) Demmer Library: We also wrote it into policy. (01:49 PM) Vicky: I like the mandate and we have our policy. (01:49 PM) Peggy O'Connell: yes I like having the state mandate to fall back on (01:52 PM) Peggy O'Connell: no preference on meeting date as most likely I will not be able to attend. (01:52 PM) Teresa: Dec 1 (01:53 PM) Demmer Library: No preference (01:53 PM) Heidi: Dec 1 (01:53 PM) Vicky: Dec 1 (01:55 PM) Teresa: Thank you all for what you do
