Jamie's Meeting August 11, 2020 (1:25 PM) Vicky: I have spent $400 on disposable masks so if people don't bring one, we have them for them. I would like to know how to get free ones from Mask Warriors. (1:25 PM) APL- Dominic: we do have people who request curbside as well. :) (1:26 PM) APL- Dominic: but i'm starting to think this is because it's convenient for people who have a had time getting in the building (1:26 PM) APL- Dominic: hard time (1:26 PM) APL- Dominic: but still happy to help them :) (1:27 PM) Demmer Library: Vicky - do an internet search for Face Mask Warriors for a local contact (they're broken down by region). Also, you could just put a request out on social media for anybody who's energized to donate some masks. We've got some fanatical stitchers around here who love nothing more than to produce them. (1:28 PM) Demmer Library: Good point, Dominic. Maybe some people will feel able to use the library more if curbside remains a service after this is passed. (1:28 PM) Vicky: WE have sewers who have done 100s, but they are giving them to medical facilities and churches now. I will look into Face Mask Warriors. Thanks. (1:29 PM) Peggy O'Connell: I feel like a lot of people are poised for a fight. (1:30 PM) Loralee: NPR's Goats and Soda has a column on how to politely remind people to follow Pandemic rules. (1:33 PM) Vicky: We were the primary library for our parochial school in town. 9 classes had visited weekly. Does anyone else have this type of service and what are you doing about visits? (1:42 PM) Loralee: Our school's bus company just quit. The driver's said they didn't feel safe. So school starting is kind of iffy right now. Unless the school can sign a new company in the near future. (1:43 PM) Demmer Library: @Loralee, wow. (1:43 PM) Janay: oh my Loralee....YIKES (1:46 PM) Loralee: Owen library has been asked to take 2 students at a time on Friday, the school's virtual learning day, so students without home internet can complete assignments. (1:51 PM) Demmer Library: Heidi, can you share the link to that form as an example with us when you get it up? (1:56 PM) Heidi O'Hare: Yes (1:59 PM) APL- Dominic: no wicky, nothign like that yet (2:01 PM) Loralee: Thanks!
