WVLS is blending its helpdesk with Indianhead Federated Library System as of September 1st, 2016. Help Scout will replace Spiceworks as the new service platform.

The WVLS Technology Team has been working in partnership with our technology services colleagues at Indianhead Federated Library System (IFLS) to strengthen core infrastructure, enhance application services, and share in each others’ wealth of experience and expertise. As we become better acquainted wiht each others’ service platforms, and begin new services jointly, a natural progression is to blend our help desk services.
WVLS has been using Spiceworks as it’s help desk ticketing system. In preparation for help desk merger, we will be doing a “soft exit” from Spieworks to the new Help Scout platform where IFLS will join us.
Existing open tickets in Spiceworks will remain there until they are resolved. We’ll be working hard to finish those up so we can bring Spiceworks offline and focus entirely on Help Scout.

Emails sent to email@example.com will be forwarded to the new email address in the Help Scout platform.
Help Scout includes an intuitive and well-integrated Knowledge Base Tool, to which we will be adding custom documentation (eg. Deep Freeze, Antivirus, and Sierra installation instructions).
