The Superior Public Library is seeking a creative and service-oriented Librarian to help connect our area’s citizens with one another and the broader world.  Located on Lake Superior within the larger Twin Ports area of Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota, our area has stunning scenery, extensive trails and forests, and world-class outdoor opportunities. The Superior Public Library serves approximately 44,000 people in Superior and rural Douglas County Wisconsin. The main library is located in the heart of Superior’s historic downtown with branch libraries in the towns of Solon Springs and Lake Nebagamon.

The successful candidate will enjoy variety in their workday and possess the excellent communication and collaboration skills needed to expand our reach into the community.  SPL has a team culture and this Librarian position will work across several areas. Primary duties include providing professional-level reference and reader’s advisory services, materials selection, and program development for community outreach including development of the library’s branches.

This is a full-time 40-hour per week position including, on average, one evening a week and one weekend per month.  The salary range is $20.53 – $26.39 based on level of experience and education as it relates to the qualifications, and the position includes benefits.
