T. B. Scott Free Library, in Merrill, Wisconsin, invites candidates to apply for the Circulation/Reference Clerk position.

Position summary

Assists members of the public at all service points of the library—circulation, youth services, and adult services. Duties include assisting patrons with specific requests for information and/or assistance, including interlibrary loan and reader’s advisory; circulation of incoming and outgoing materials to patrons; maintenance of department specific materials; assisting with library program delivery; and utilizing computers to perform essential duties. This is a part-time position, approximately 24 hours per week. Work hours will typically be from 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday, with some weekend hours required.

 Compensation

 This is a City of Merrill Grade 3 position, starting at $13.50/hour. Pro-rated benefits include paid vacation/sick leave/holiday/library floating holiday/personal holiday pay.

 Qualifications

 Required: High school diploma. Preferred: Additional education beyond high school; some experience working in libraries.

A two-time recipient of the Library of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Library Association, T. B. Scott Free Library is an architecturally stunning building on the Prairie River in Merrill, Wisconsin. Merrill is traditionally home to the Menominee, Ojibwe, and Ho-Chunk, and is the gateway to the Wisconsin Northwoods. The library provides service to the residents of the City of Merrill and the surrounding communities of Lincoln County, with a total service population of 21,000.
