V-Cat Library Card FAQ

What is my PIN or password?

Your PIN (aka “password”) for your library card number (aka “patron ID”) typically is set for the last four digits of the phone number on file, unless you have reset your PIN or requested a different password. If this does not work, contact your library to update your phone number and/or reset your PIN. Additionally, PIN numbers can be changed in the My Account feature of the library catalog.

What if I lose my card?

Please contact your library to update and replace your card. Libraries may charge for a card replacement.

I have a vacation home in Wisconsin, can I still get a library card?

Possibly! Please contact the library nearest your vacation home to inquire about non-resident cards.

Why have I lost access to OverDrive/Libby/Wisconsin’s Digital Library?

Your card may be expired. Please contact your library to update and renew your card.

You may have fines or fees over $25. You can pay these either at your local library or by logging into the library catalog with your library barcode number and PIN.  You will regain access once the fines or fees are below $25.
