The Monroe Public Library is looking for a new team member to work eighteen hours
per week with the following schedule:
Tuesday 4pm – 9pm
Wednesday 2pm – 6pm
Thursday 8am – 12pm
Friday 9am – 2pm OR 1pm-6pm
Duties include participating in the planning and implementation of library programming
for children with a focus on programs for children under five years of age, conducting
story programs, craft programs, and other special events; interacting with library patrons
for reader’s advisory, and providing desk coverage in the children’s room and other
desks as needed. Opportunities for extra hours may sometimes be available.

What are we looking for?
• Experience working with children, preferably in a public library
• High energy, flexibility and creativity along with excellent communication and
organization skills
• Genuine desire and ability to work with children.
• Ability to interact pleasantly and effectively with the public
• Strong computer skills
