The Carleton A. Friday Memorial Library, located in New Richmond, WI, is actively recruiting for the position of Library Director. We seek a story-teller: someone who will fill the next chapters of our journey with leadership, dignity, respect and innovation built on a foundation of teamwork and communication. As the lead character of the chapters that follow, your creativity and energy must be focused on cultivating leadership within our dedicated staff while promoting the need for a new library in our capital campaign. Effective communication and problem solving are key attributes for this new character and telling the story is critical.
The pages of our story include a dedicated staff of thirteen full-time and part-time employees, amazing programming and the opportunity to join a team that is committed to transforming our library one patron at a time. This non-fictional journey begins with an understanding of our foundation which is built upon the importance of literacy within our community of 8,909 residents and over 12,000 patrons. The impact that our community library has on place making, learning and the wonders that lie in the endless pages that fill our shelves inspires those who work here and our patrons who visit our library daily. The Friday Memorial Library isn’t just bricks and mortar, as our values reach every corner of the communities we serve.
Our story is just beginning. If you aspire to lead, to innovate, to transform, and communicate all with confidence and creativity, we would be excited to see you write future chapters in this amazing book.
