ASSIGNMENT TITLE: Archives Technician
TERM: January 2018 – June 2019 (can be extended)

REQUIRED BACKGROUND:
Completed graduate degree in Information Studies with emphasis in archives or double graduate degree in Information Studies/History. Alternatively, current enrollment in an accredited information studies graduate level program.

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for supporting collections arrangement and description of the corporate archives of Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Duties include cataloging, data entry, basic preservation and storage, and basic digital imaging and scanning. Position will support reference services to Harley-Davidson, the H-D Museum and relevant stakeholders. The position will also support Harley-Davidson Museum exhibits and registration efforts on a seasonal basis.

DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience with archival or museum cataloging and preservation methods strongly preferred. Experience with basic filing, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word. Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.

HOURS: 40 hours per week (Daytime business hours, Mon-Fri.)
